The Challenge

Collaborating with Business Illawarra for the second year running, we were tasked with the brand identity, visual collateral and digital marketing strategy for the 2021 IMB Bank Illawarra Business Awards.

Business Illawarra host the Illawarra Business Awards annually to celebrate business excellence in the region. After an exceptionally challenging year, the theme ‘Blooming in Business’ was established to recognise the resilience and determination of local business during the wake of the pandemic.

A brand strategy had to be implemented to ensure the 2021 Gala Ceremony truly celebrated business in the region for once again ‘blooming’.

The Solution

Be Creative Media designed a brand identity from conceptualisation to full delivery, to represent the theme ‘Blooming in Business’. The bright, striking florals of the visual collateral were to complement the interior decoration of the WIN Entertainment Centre to ensure a seamless experience for guests.

A digital marketing plan was devised to convert views into entries, reaching a number of local businesses who entered the awards for the first time.

The social media strategy firstly involved the announcement of the awards, followed by a push for entries, promoting sponsors, the announcement of finalists, a push for ticket sales, and finally the announcement and profiling of category winners.As a result, tickets for the Gala Ceremony sold out.
